Yes. Everyone needs a consultation to find out what treatment you are considering, your reasons for this, for a detailed examination and to discuss all the options available. During this a full medical history will be taken.
It is our clinic not to encourage you to have your treatment on the same day of your first consultation with us. It is important that you have the time to think over and understand the information and options given to you, and don’t feel pushed or rushed into making an immediate decision about your treatment.
This will depend on the type of treatment undertaken, and the number of areas being treated. Some treatment courses are recommended to get the best results. In all cases you will be offered a follow up appointment to access your final treatment results.
Following your treatment you will be offered a follow up appointment to ensure everything has settled down.
This will be discussed with you at your consultation, and will depend on the treatment undertaken, the recovery time, if any, and the degree of correction or changes.
However for most treatments, ongoing maintenance will be needed in order to maintain the results, this will also be discussed at your consultation.
Suitability for treatment will be determined following your mandatory consultation and be dependent on certain medical conditions and medications.
Please note: We cannot treat any patients that are pregnant or breast feeding.
Some treatments you will see an immediate result, but there may be some swelling that settles down in a few days with the full results in around 1-2 weeks. In collagen stimulation treatments the result are gradual and cumulative and continue for up to 8 weeks post treatment. Other treatments take around 2 weeks for the full effect to mature.
There are a few treatments that will incur some downtime, like medium depth skin peels, otherwise for most treatments this is not necessary and will be discussed at your consultation.
Some treatments there can be some bruising but this is usually minimal and can be covered with makeup.
Side effect are generally minimal and can include, bruising, redness, swelling, tenderness, peeling, flaking or dry skin, some unevenness or lumpiness until swelling goes down. These all tend to resolve in a few days.
For some treatments you may be required to prep the skin in advance in order to get the best results from the procedure. This will be discussed with you at your consultation.
We need to take pre-and post-treatment photographs for your confidential files and records and we are required to take these. This serves as a useful tool in assessing the effectiveness of your treatment outcome.
In some cases we may ask your permission to use your before and after pictures for our website and social media. We will always ask for your consent and will show you the pictures prior to using any images of you
You will be given an after leaflet on the day or treatment with instructions of what to, or not to do. This will include possible things to look out for that may require you to return to the Clinic.
If your treatment requires you may need to carry out aftercare product application and this will be discussed at your consultation.
Most areas of the face, neck, decollete and hands can be treated, depending on the type of treatment undertaken, but this will be discussed at your consultation.
You will only be treated by a medically trained and fully insured clinician.
