The term Dermal fillers is used to describe treatments that restore volume and structure to the face, they are soft gels that mimic our own hyaluronic acid and are injected into or under the skin. Dermal fillers work to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, crepey skin, and help to replace lost volume. They can fill out, smooth, and temporarily correct lines, wrinkles, grooves, asymmetry on the face, replace lost volume to cheeks, chin, temples & lips, and on the neck, décolleté and hands.

The high levels of HA (hyaluronic acid) have the effect of attracting and retaining water, instantly improving the skin’s appearance and texture by restoring its natural hydration and plumpness.

At Perfect Skin Clinic, we aim to look at the whole face. Patients may come in looking only at treating the lower face that has become heavy with folds from the nose to the jawline. In a lot of cases it is better to look at restoring the mid and upper face where the volume has been lost, that creates the ‘heaviness’ in the lower face.

Results can last from 6 months up to a year depending on the product injected, indications and lifestyle factors.

These advanced products all contain Lidocaine, a local anaesthetic, to help numb the area while simultaneously administering the treatment. This has been proven to improve patients’ experience by quickly reducing possible discomfort, during the treatment which may take anywhere up to an hour depending on the desired effect and patient.
